DealExtreme: my experience with buying at DX.com
On March 27th I placed an order with DealExtreme. I ordered a DVB-T USB stick (original product is out of stock. link changed to similar product on Banggood.com), DVB-T antenna and a coax to MCX adapter. Payment was done using PayPal. A few hours later I received a payment confirmation and a message that the order was being processed.
Then I got an email saying that one of the items was not in stock and that therefore the order was delayed. After having received a number of these emails I decided to use the chat function on the site. I was curious about which of the items exactly wasn’t in stock, the emails didn’t mention it.
A friendly DealExtreme employee answered my questions. The most important item of the order (the USB stick) apparently wasn’t in stock yet. I could choose to let them send the rest already, but because I was in no hurry I told them that I would wait. And without the DVB-T stick, the other items would be pretty useless anyway.
I expected that it could still take a while. But after a few days, I received three separate e-mails informing me that the order was partially being shipped. Two shipments with a track-and-trace code, one without.
On May 3rd I found the antenna and the adapter cable in the mailbox. On May 7th, the DVB-T USB stick was also delivered.

My DealExtreme experience
The prices at DealExtreme are quite low, compared to most European webshops. And shipping is actually free, as advertised. On the handling of the order, I have no complaints. Perhaps it took a bit longer than expexted, but the low prices make it worth the wait. If the USB stick had been in stock everything would undoubtedly have gone a lot smoother. This first experience with ordering at DealExtreme was quite positive.
Is DX.com reliable?
With the reliability of the shop is nothing wrong. The aftermarket seems to be alone sit, when I read the DealExtreme experiences of other customers on various sites and forums. For gadgets and small electronics items can I DealExtreme certainly recommend.
