SONOFF is a brand of the Chinese company ITEAD. ITEAD specializes in the development and production of hardware and smart home products. The company is located in Shenzhen, the largest electronics market in China.

SONOFF (which stands for “S-ON-OFF”) designs and produces simple and cheap smart home products such as WiFi switches, sockets, plugs, and lighting.

The brand is best known for affordable switches such as the SONOFF BASIC and the SONOFF S20 that can be hacked by setting up an alternative firmware. SONOFF devices are therefore especially popular with hobbyists.
